Ionis Pharmaceuticals gathered for an Ace Race® charity team bonding event in San Diego, CA. The international team came together at the Grand Hyatt San Diego after spending several years apart. With 55 participants attending, the event created an exciting opportunity for employees to reconnect in person while competing in a high-energy mini golf challenge. The event also supported the San Diego Food Bank through a meaningful food donation.

Ionis Pharmaceuticals Employees Reconnect During Ace Race® Team Bonding Event in San Diego, California
The Ace Race® event gave the Ionis Pharmaceuticals team a fun way to reconnect after years apart. Since many employees traveled internationally, the gathering felt especially meaningful for the group. Participants quickly embraced the competitive atmosphere as teams designed mini golf holes using canned goods and non-perishable food items. Laughter filled the room as teams tested their creations and raced to complete each course with the lowest score possible.
The competitive energy remained high throughout the event as teams pushed for the championship title. Employees cheered each other on while navigating creative obstacles and attempting difficult shots. The activity encouraged conversation, collaboration, and friendly competition between coworkers who rarely get to meet face-to-face. At the end of the program, the donated food items went directly to the San Diego Food Bank. The organization was thrilled to receive the donation, which will help provide meals and support to families throughout the San Diego community.
