Kiewit Employees Gather for an Amazing Build-A-Bike® Team Building Activity in Omaha, Nebraska

The Build-A-Bike® event gave Kiewit employees an interactive way to strengthen communication during their Kiewit University training. Instead of sitting through another classroom session, participants worked together toward a shared goal. Teams raced to assemble bicycles while navigating challenges that required planning and coordination. The competitive format created excitement throughout the event. Participants encouraged one another while focusing on accuracy and teamwork.

The activity also supported a meaningful cause. At the end of the event, the completed bikes benefited the Boys and Girls Club of the Midlands. A representative from the charity spoke to the group before the donation pickup. Due to scheduling, the bicycles were collected the following day. This adjustment worked smoothly for both the charity and the client. The donation added purpose to the experience and gave participants a chance to make a direct impact. The event blended training, team connection, and community support into one memorable experience.

We give a big thank you to Kiewit for supporting children in the Omaha community through this Build-A-Bike® event. We also appreciate the Boys and Girls Club of the Midlands for helping make the donation process meaningful.
