The Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP team gathered for a Build-A-Bike® team event in Los Angeles, California. This summer kickoff welcomed a group of eager new associates. Their goal? Strengthen morale, build team bonds, and have some fun. With 24 bikes to assemble and plenty of energy in the room, this was no ordinary orientation. The event brought first-time coworkers together to laugh, connect, and compete in a charity challenge with purpose.

The Build-A-Bike® team event offered new summer associates a dynamic way to meet each other and their team leaders. As first-timers, the energy was electric. Teams enthusiastically tackled challenges and worked together to build their bikes. The convo stack questions helped break the ice, while the hands-on activity sparked fast friendships. Pride showed on every face as the bikes rolled across the finish line. The high-energy afternoon successfully blended competition and collaboration.
The event also supported a powerful cause. The Shepherd’s Pantry team brought warmth, excitement, and a box truck to receive the donated bikes. Despite limited full-time staff, the charity operates three Los Angeles-area locations with the help of dedicated volunteers. Penny and her team were patient and professional during the pickup, even navigating hotel logistics with grace. They were thrilled to distribute the bikes to local children and couldn’t wait to share the joy.
