The New Relic HR, benefits, recruiting, and training team hosted a Build-A-Bike team building charity event in San Francisco, CA on August 20th. This leadership offsite brought together 24 team members from across the United States. They approached every challenge with humor, collaboration, and genuine enthusiasm. The event concluded with the donation of four brand-new bikes to Safe and Sound’s resource center, supporting families in need.

New Relic Employees Join Together for a Build-A-Bike in San Francisco, California
The Build-A-Bike event gave New Relic employees an opportunity to strengthen their bonds while reinforcing their passion for giving back. Teams worked together to earn bike parts through fun challenges that required problem-solving, communication, and creativity. The group’s humor and enthusiasm kept energy levels high and inspired collaboration throughout the afternoon. After getting all the parts sorted and the teams in order, they broke out and started assembling the bikes in record time. Ending up with 4 solid bikes ready to donate by the end of the event.
Safe and Sound, a local nonprofit, received the finished bicycles. The organization provides vital resources for low-income families in San Francisco, making the donation especially meaningful. The charity staff expressed heartfelt gratitude for the generous contribution. These new bikes will directly improve the lives of children and families they serve.
