OhioHealth Quality Department Unites for Build-A-Bike® Event in Columbus, Ohio
The Build-A-Bike® event offered a refreshing opportunity for OhioHealth’s Quality department to step away from their daily responsibilities and engage in meaningful team building during their holiday retreat. Team members who typically focus on ensuring patient safety and quality care were able to channel their collaborative skills toward a different kind of project—one that would bring joy to children in their community. The event created a space for colleagues to interact in a relaxed setting while still working toward a common goal.
During the event, participants worked together to assemble bicycles for local children. The activity gained special significance when representatives from the YMCA Columbus personally attended to express their gratitude to the OhioHealth team. This direct connection to the beneficiaries of their charitable work reinforced the positive impact of their efforts. As an additional holiday gift, OhioHealth leadership surprised their team by allowing everyone to go home early after completing the event, adding an extra element of appreciation to the day. The combination of team building, charitable giving, and recognition created a truly memorable holiday retreat experience.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to OhioHealth for their generous bicycle donations to children in need. We’d also like to thank the YMCA Columbus for their partnership and for taking the time to personally acknowledge the impact of this charitable contribution on the children they serve.
