One Inc. gathered 60 participants for a Hopeful Horizons charity team building event, at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago, IL on September 15th. The group’s energy filled the room from start to finish. What started as a plan to donate 10 backpacks quickly grew into something extraordinary. Inspired by the impact they could make, the team decided to multiply their generosity, sending 50 fully stuffed duffel bags to local teens in the foster system through the Chicago Angels. Their competitive spirit, laughter, and enthusiasm created a day filled with connection, purpose, and teamwork.

The Hopeful Horizons program challenged One Inc.’s senior leaders to communicate effectively and collaborate across generations. Teams competed in upbeat challenges designed to highlight different communication styles in the workplace. Each success earned items to fill duffel bags with essentials for teens in foster care. What began as friendly competition soon became a mission of compassion. By the end of the event, the group had assembled 50 generous care packages, five times their original goal.
The Chicago Angels charity was thrilled to partner with One Inc. for the first time. Their organization supports youth in foster care through mentorship, community, and practical assistance. The donations from this event provided comfort and encouragement to teens often overlooked by the system. One Inc.’s enthusiasm and generosity left a lasting impression, turning a fun team-building experience into a life-changing day for many young people.
