The Build-A-Bike® event was part of Salas O’Brien’s annual gathering to unite teams from different departments across the United States. The Hawaiian-themed event set a relaxed and festive tone, helping employees break the ice and build deeper connections. Working in small teams, participants competed to be the first to correctly assemble children’s bicycles. The spirited competition and focus on giving back made the experience both exciting and rewarding. For many, it was a rare chance to collaborate with coworkers from other regions in a fun and engaging setting.
All assembled bicycles were donated to the Holly Hill Family YMCA, which organized a group of local families and children to attend the event and receive the bikes. Their seamless coordination and heartfelt participation added a powerful, emotional touch to the experience. Seeing the children receive the bikes made the impact of the team’s efforts immediately tangible. The collaboration between Salas O’Brien and the YMCA highlighted the mutual commitment to supporting community health and wellness.
