The Shasta Union High School District hosted an amazing Build-A-Bike® charity team building event in Redding, CA on July 30th. This energetic group of educational administrators, primarily principals, gathered for a unique training day to prepare for the upcoming hectic school year. Their focus was on building stronger connections, sharing personal stories, and sharpening their problem-solving skills. The day concluded with a meaningful act of service, assembling bicycles for local children.

Shasta Union High School District Leaders Join Forces For Build-A-Bike® Team Event in Redding, California
The Build-A-Bike® gave administrators an engaging opportunity to enhance teamwork and camaraderie. Participants brought enthusiasm to every challenge, creating spirited cheers, clever team names, and inventive strategies to win the disc exercise. Judges added to the excitement, encouraging teams to think beyond their own silos and unite as one cohesive group.
The highlight of the day came when three children from the Eagles Soar Youth Activity Center (ESYAC) arrived to receive their brand-new bikes. The children’s joy and gratitude brought smiles to every face in the room. The personal connection between the district and ESYAC made the experience even more impactful, underscoring the district’s dedication to community service and youth empowerment.
