The Women of Aldridge annual summit gathered 200 female employees on August 6, 2026. They met at the O’Hare Offices in Des Plaines, Illinois. This year’s CSR initiative featured Rescue Bear®, a charity team building activity that helps children in need. Participants worked together to assemble 100 comfort bags for the Lake County Children’s Advocacy Center. Each bag contained a stuffed animal, an outfit, and a hand-written note of encouragement.
Aldridge Electric is one of the nation’s leading electrical contractors. The Women of Aldridge summit is an annual event hosted for the company’s female employees. It celebrates their contributions in a historically male-dominated industry. Giving back to the community has become a defining tradition of the summit.
Two Hundred Women of Aldridge Electric Build 100 Comfort Bears for Lake County Children’s Advocacy Center
The Women of Aldridge summit reflects Aldridge Electric’s commitment to its female workforce. The annual event creates a space for recognition and community connection. This year marked Amy Maybury’s second consecutive time facilitating the group’s CSR initiative. Amy serves as Chief Revenue Officer of The Leaders Institute. Her return as lead facilitator reflects the enthusiasm and positive response from the prior year.
Teams completed a series of riddles and challenges through the event. Each challenge unlocked stuffed animals, outfits, and other bag materials. The process kept energy and enthusiasm high across the entire room.
Once all supplies were earned, participants got to work. They stuffed and dressed each bear with careful attention. Each person added a hand-written note of encouragement to their bag. The room buzzed with energy and emotion as the group pushed to finish all 100 bags.
The Lake County Children’s Advocacy Center serves children who have faced trauma and difficult times. The nonprofit is made up of police officers, counselors, and committed volunteers. Many of those volunteers give their time without compensation. The stuffed animals will provide comfort during emotionally challenging sessions.
