Call2Recycle, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization focused on protecting the environment through responsible recycling. Founded in 1994, the organization operates a no-cost battery and cellphone recycling program. Consumers across the United States and Canada access convenient drop-off locations through retailers and local communities. Since its founding, Call2Recycle has diverted over 130 million pounds of batteries from landfills. The organization continues to lead sustainability efforts through education, partnerships, and accessible recycling solutions.
Call2Recycle Employees Grew Closer During a Build-A-Bike® Bicycle Team Building Charity Event in Frisco, Texas
The Build-A-Bike® event encouraged collaboration, communication, and problem-solving among the Call2Recycle team. Employees split into small teams and worked together to assemble bicycles. Many participants met in person for the first time during this meeting. The activity helped new hires integrate quickly with established team members. Friendly competition kept energy levels high throughout the event. Each team shared ideas, delegated tasks, and celebrated progress together.
As the bikes came together, the focus shifted toward the charitable impact. The completed bicycles supported the mission of Momentous Institute. This organization strengthens children, families, and communities through mental health services and education. Participants expressed pride knowing their teamwork created meaningful change for local youth. The shared goal added purpose to every task and strengthened the group’s connection. The event ended with smiles, photos, and a strong sense of accomplishment.
