Chugai’s Build-A-Bike® Event in Berkeley Heights, NJ
Chugai, a leading research-based pharmaceutical company, hosted a Build-A-Bike® charity team building event in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. With twenty-two participants, this event aimed to enhance team cohesion. Overall, the group consisted of predominantly remote workers who gather monthly from across the New Jersey and New York area.
Chugai, based in Tokyo and listed on the 1st section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, specializes in prescription pharmaceuticals and is a significant member of the Roche Group. The company excels in biotechnology products and is committed to R&D activities both in Japan and internationally. Chugai focuses on developing innovative products to meet unmet medical needs in oncology, bone and joint diseases, renal diseases, and other critical therapeutic areas. While Chugai develops its products independently until early Proof-of-Concept (PoC), it collaborates with Roche and other partners for late-stage clinical development and global marketing outside Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan.
Chugai employees unite for Build-A-Bike® event in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey
The Build-A-Bike® event provided an engaging and collaborative environment for Chugai employees to strengthen their teamwork skills. Given that the group consists mostly of remote workers, this monthly meeting offered a valuable opportunity for face-to-face interaction and team building. The participants were eager to connect and work together towards a common goal.
During the event, teams competed to assemble bicycles, fostering a spirit of friendly competition and camaraderie. The collaborative effort resulted in the successful construction of several bikes, showcasing the team’s dedication and coordination. The event concluded with the donation of these bicycles to the Boys & Girls Club of Union County. Representatives from the charity were present to receive the bikes and shared their appreciation, highlighting how the donations would positively impact the children and families they serve.
