DL Smith Ignites brought the faculty and administration of Burney Elementary School together for an Amazing Builders charity team building event just outside of Tampa, FL. This two-hour session marked the first day back for the Fall semester. Participants enjoyed an inspiring keynote on wellness and personal care from Darrell Smith before jumping into competitive-but-friendly teamwork. The result was a day filled with laughter, stronger connections, and a generous donation to local students.

Burney Elementary Faculty Unite for aMAZEing Builders Team Building Event in Tampa, Florida
The day began with Darrell Smith delivering a moving keynote on wellness and personal care. Faculty and administration left feeling motivated and ready for the semester ahead. They then transitioned into the Amazing Builders activity, where blindfolded teammates navigated obstacle courses to collect school supplies. The collaboration boosted morale, encouraged problem-solving, and fostered a renewed sense of unity across the school staff.
At the end of the event, the teams had assembled 15 fully stocked backpacks for underprivileged students at Burney Elementary. The Young Gentlemen’s Academy received the donation, and Darrell Smith’s heartfelt words about giving back inspired the group even further. The smiles and gratitude from knowing their efforts would directly benefit their own community made the experience deeply rewarding.
