The Five Below leadership team gathered for a Build-A-Bike® charity event in Atlantic City, NJ. Hosted at The Ocean Casino, the event brought 235 participants together during their annual summit to connect, celebrate, and give back. This year, the company wanted to go beyond conversation and take action, turning their focus on purpose into a powerful, hands-on experience.

Five Below Leaders Unite For Build-A-Bike® Event in Atlantic City, New Jersey
The Build-A-Bike® event gave Five Below’s leadership team an exciting opportunity to strengthen relationships and build culture. In small groups, leaders collaborated to solve challenges, earn bike parts, and assemble 30 new bicycles. Laughter and teamwork filled the room as participants raced against the clock, each step reinforcing communication and collaboration.
The highlight came when they discovered who would receive the bikes, children from a local Atlantic City elementary school. Many of these students walk to school daily because their families cannot afford transportation. That realization transformed the room. The competitive energy turned to heartfelt compassion as leaders reflected on the impact of their efforts. Executives expressed that it was one of the most meaningful experiences of their careers.
The Build-A-Bike program perfectly matched The Five Below Foundation’s mission to help kids, families, and communities thrive. By the end of the day, 50 children gained new bikes, and a group of leaders strengthened their bonds through service, generosity, and shared purpose.
