The DHL Americas Innovation Center hosted a Build-A-Bike® team charity event in Chicago, IL. Forty-five front-line leaders came together to strengthen collaboration and give back to the community. With a focus on “Respect and Result,” participants worked with determination to assemble fourteen brand-new bicycles. The challenge captured their competitive spirit, while also creating lasting impact for local children.

DHL Leaders Get Together For Build-A-Bike® Team Charity Event in Chicago, Illinois
The Build-A-Bike® event gave DHL leaders an opportunity to demonstrate teamwork in action. With their motto “head, heart, and guts,” the group quickly turned competition into connection. They worked “right first time” on every bike, showcasing precision and collaboration. One team even finished their assembly in only eight and a half minutes. The speed round highlighted their efficiency while emphasizing their shared values of excellence and unity.
Blackstone Bicycle Works partnered as the benefiting charity. The organization provides children with bicycles, repair training, and mentorship. Thanks to DHL’s efforts, fourteen children received bikes that will empower them with freedom, mobility, and joy. Meeting Corey from Blackstone Bicycle Works added a personal connection, reinforcing the importance of community partnership and local impact.
