The National Association for Healthcare Quality® (NAHQ) hosted a Charade Murder Mystery event in Chicago, IL on July 16th. With thirty-four participants, the afternoon blended laughter, competition, and teamwork into one unforgettable experience. Guided by Doug Staneart and assisted by Scott Ray Merchant, participants stepped into detective roles to solve a playful whodunit all while building their creativity, improv skills, problem solving, and teamwork.

The event began with a shocking twist, poor Evelyn’s mysterious demise. Four teams of amateur sleuths quickly sprang into action, each determined to crack the case. They interviewed quirky suspects, examined puzzling evidence, and leveled bold accusations. The energy in the room soared as strategy, creativity, and humor mixed into a spirited investigation.
As the mystery unfolded, teammates discovered hidden skills and built trust through quick collaboration. Every accusation sparked laughter while every clue sharpened focus. One team finally uncovered the truth, but everyone left with stronger bonds and newfound camaraderie. It was an afternoon where problem-solving met pure entertainment, proving once again that NAHQ’s members thrive in any challenge. Nobody came into the room expecting what they’d get, but what they got was an amazing afternoon.
