Mecklenburg County's Rescue Bear® Event in Charlotte, NC Mecklenburg County attended a Rescue Bear® event for the Operations, Strategy, and Innovation (OSI) Division of the Child, Family, and Adult Services (CFAS) Department. The event included 60 attendees from various levels of the OSI division. It was part of a larger meeting themed “Innovate, Integrate, Motivate.” The aim was to foster a sense of community, fun, and to celebrate individual and team strengths. The highlight of the event was the presence of the Mecklenburg County Mascot. The mascot is none other than a teddy bear, adding an extra layer of fun to the Rescue Bear event. The stuffed animals created during the event were donated to Congregations For Kids, a non-profit supporting children in foster care.

Mecklenburg County makes a significant impact in various ways, from assisting families in need to protecting public health and maintaining public parklands. Serving an incredibly diverse population, the county is a place where employees can find personal growth, professional development, and the chance to make a real difference in the community.
