The Build-A-Bike® event served as a prime opportunity for Amgen’s team to step away from their rigorous training schedule. It allowed them to engage in an activity that emphasized teamwork and community giving. Set against the backdrop of their Tampa facilities, the event was not just a break from the norm. Moreover, it was a chance to build connections within the team and reinforce Amgen’s core values of collaboration and innovation.

During the event, participants were divided into smaller teams, racing against the clock to assemble bicycles. This exercise not only highlighted the importance of effective communication and collaboration but also allowed team members to discover and leverage each other’s strengths in a fun, supportive environment. The culmination of the event saw the newly assembled bikes being donated to the South Tampa YMCA, a gesture that underscores Amgen’s commitment to making a positive impact in the community.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Amgen for their generosity and dedication to fostering team spirit and community service.
