The Build-A-Bike® event at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts was a testament to the company’s vibrant team culture. Participants displayed exceptional team spirit and creativity, especially evident during the cheer competition. The competition saw a friendly yet intense rivalry. It eventually led to a tie-breaker cheer-off between Team 3, buoyed by a cheer mom, and Team 6, who ingeniously named themselves “Melissa’s Best Choice” (a team name appealing directly to one of the judges). This playful and strategic approach exemplified the creativity and enthusiasm inherent in Wyndham’s team.
Following the cheer competition, teams energetically engaged in the bike-building activity. Their collaboration was evident as they swiftly assembled the bikes, with all but one team finishing around the same time. The final team, needing to make safety adjustments, received overwhelming support and cheers from the others, embodying the spirit of teamwork and unity. The bikes were donated to JBWS (formerly known as Jersey Battered Women’s Shelter). A representative from JBWS highlighted the immediate impact of this donation, informing the group that one of the bikes would be delivered to a victim that very day, adding a deeply meaningful dimension to the event.
