ATCC's Build-A-Bike® Event Near Washington, DC ATCC recently hosted a Build-A-Bike® event for its IT Department at their headquarters in Manassas, Virginia. In total, the event saw 50 members of the IT team, including those who traveled in for the occasion. Their mission? To engage in a team-building exercise aimed at strengthening bonds and fostering collaboration! And the beneficiary of their efforts was the Martin K Alloy Boys & Girls Club of Manassas. The event was not just a testament to ATCC’s commitment to community service, however. Additionally, it was an excellent opportunity for team members to connect and work together in a meaningful way.

ATCC is a prestigious nonprofit organization that has been contributing to scientific advancement for nearly a century. It’s renowned for its vast and diverse collection of biological reference materials. It provides critical resources and data for research and innovation in fields such as basic science, drug discovery, translational medicine, and public health. ATCC’s role as a trusted partner in the scientific community is underscored by its commitment to collaboration and providing reliable, advanced model systems.

ATCC IT Department Unites for Build-A-Bike® Event Near Washington, DC

The Build-A-Bike® event at ATCC’s Manassas headquarters offered a unique platform for the IT Department to engage in a collaborative and impactful activity. The process of assembling bicycles in teams allowed the participants, especially those who were meeting in person for the first time, to develop stronger relationships and work together effectively. This hands-on activity not only enhanced team spirit but also aligned with ATCC’s values of collaboration and community service.

The participation and enthusiasm of the IT team members were commendable. The event provided a break from their regular technical roles, encouraging creativity and teamwork in a completely different setting. Moreover, the joy of knowing that their efforts would directly benefit the children at the Martin K Alloy Boys & Girls Club of Manassas added an extra layer of motivation and satisfaction to the day’s activities.
