SCIEX Build-A-Bike® Event Near Los Angeles, CA
SCIEX, a leader in the capillary electrophoresis and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry industry, hosted a spirited Build-A-Bike® charity event at Beckman Coulter in Carlsbad, CA. With fifty participants, the goal was to harness the collaborative spirit of SCIEX employees to enhance teamwork while giving back to the community. This event not only brought together SCIEX’s team but also supported Lived Experiences, a charity dedicated to enriching the lives of children through tangible gifts of love and support.

The Build-A-Bike® event was a dynamic demonstration of SCIEX’s core values in action: innovation through collaboration. Participants, divided into teams, were initially competitive but soon realized the importance of cooperation to efficiently assemble the bicycles. This hands-on activity not only reinforced the critical role of teamwork in achieving goals but also mirrored the collaborative approaches necessary in their day-to-day work at SCIEX.
Throughout the event, the enthusiasm was palpable as teams raced against each other, learning to quickly adapt and communicate effectively to assemble the bikes correctly. This engaging challenge provided a practical lesson in the power of working together, a principle that aligns closely with the collaborative spirit necessary for scientific and technological advancements at SCIEX.
